Foundation Production Practice

 

There are carefully defined job definitions for each student role when working on a production as well as assessment criteria to measure the ability of the student to fulfil the specified role.

Assessment Criteria

The assessment criteria are designed to measure the ability of the student to fulfil the selected role.  The assessment criteria identify the skills required to fulfil the role and also the way that the role is carried out.  i.e. how to communicate, how to solve problems, and very important, the attitude while fulfilling the role.


Working on a production is all about teamwork.  It is not just about how well you fulfil your role, but also your attitude and ability to work as part of the production team. 

The assessment criteria are based on the following criteria:


  1. Craft Skills of the selected role

  2. Management Skills

  3. Communication Skills

  4. Problem Solving Skills

  5. Time Management Skills

  6. Personal Skills

  7. personal Objective

  1. Attend all calls as required from the first set up call through to the strike out. Crew Call Schedule will be posted on the Callboard.

  2. To fulfil all duties as assigned by the Technical Director, Lighting Technician, Sound Technician or Stage Technician.

  3. To work with the team members, in the installation of the technical equipment required for the production.
